With stars, clear skies, woodchucks, and deer in abundance, our newest facility, Great Bend Campground can be found. Nestled along the Sandy Creek close to where it flows into the Ohio River, it is the perfect campground for families to just unwind and relax. Boasting nine boat docks for pontoons or smaller boats and fishing, this campground is sure to be a family pleaser! There are thirteen paved and level camper sites with sewer, water, and 50/30/20-amp electrical outlets, along with 5 (primitive) campsites with electricity and water. Each tent site provides 110 electricity and paved vehicle pads allowing two vehicles each. Campsites are near picnic shelters, grills and fire rings and each campsite has its own picnic table.
Open year round, our campground offers concrete walking trails and an $1.4K ADA Compliant playground. Kayak lovers will be able to enjoy an ADA compliant kayak boat launch. If fishing is your hobby, our waters provide plenty of muskie and bass fishing, or if you are more of a fishing competitor, you won’t want to miss summer Bass Fishing Tournaments every Monday starting at 4:30 PM. Our area is open for winter duck hunting. Nearby you can expect to see water sports such as water skiing, jet skiing or motorized surfboards enjoying the waters. A short drive away, campers may try their stroke at golf or disc golf. Would you like to walk your challenge yourself to mountain biking? Our Kevin Clegg Memorial Trail system is just four miles away. Perhaps you just want to relax in the quiet enjoying the abundance of bird watching opportunities. Birds of prey, ducks, and blue herons are daily visitors.
